Do you like to read?
Who all here has a kindle? I received mine a few years ago as a Christmas gift. I love love love my kindle. I have downloaded a lot of books from a website where all of the books are free for a certain amount of time. I go there everyday to see what books are offered and they have many topics to choose from. The website in which I am referring to is www.ebookdaily.com. If you get a chance go check it out :).
This is a great way to save money not to mention when reading a great book you can get lost in, save money, ideas on living frugal, recipes, the list is ongoing. Does anyone else have a place they go to for downloading free ebooks?

Making Plans towards living a Simple life
I called a growth Opportunity place yesterday to see if I can get help with a
small business. I already have a mobility business to go to peoples
homes and do their hair. I need help with some equipment, products,
better vehicle, and advertising. My appointment is this upcoming
Wednesday. They only help with business ideas that are needed in our
community. There are so many hairdressers in my hometown but noone with a
mobility license who does this. The lady with whom I spoke with seemed
really excited about my idea of expanding to clients outside of the town
(in the country etc) I am aiming mostly towards seniors and people who
are not well enough to come to town on a regular basis or who live in town but can't get out and about. To make an
income out of this however I would need a full days work and that is
very doable, about once or twice a month to a couple of different areas.
I am also now at $651.66/$1000 to reaching my baby emergency fund goal. Next week I will get my pay from the dollar store so that will put me even closer!
I also picked up an extra 14.5 hours at the Esso this weekend so that extra in two weeks will go on my bef unless I am able to have it funded by then, if so that will go on to my Visa.
I am getting so close to finishing up the bef. A lot of hard work that is for sure but just knowing the freedom which is awaiting me makes it so worth it!
Once my Visa is paid off then I can breath a bit more. I can give up the dollar store and focus on my hairdressing career with intensity. I will of course still be working at the Esso which I can use the extra $ from there to fully fund my big emergency fund.

OAMC
Ok, maybe not OMAC for me but at least I am getting a few meals prepared for the busy days in which I am working crazy hours+
. Over the past couple of days when I have a moment I have been cooking and mixing things up for the freezer. I don't have time to do a whole months of cooking in one day so I have been taking an hour or two here and there to get things done. So far I have in the freezer:
(1) 4 packs of all purpose beef mix All Purpose Ground Meat Mix Recipehttp://www.food.com/recipe/all-purpose-ground-meat-mix-31008 ( this is to make spaghetti sauce, sloppy joe's, hamburger helper, tacos, chili, etc...
(2) 1 pack of Hubby-Will-Inhale-Them Meatballs http://www.food.com/recipe/hubby-will-inhale-them-meatballs-87537I am going to make gravy, mashed potato, and veggies to go with these for a dinner.
(3) 2 freezer bags of meatloaf mix, ( Easy Meatloaf )Easy Meatloaf Recipehttp://allrecipes.com/recipe/easy-meatloaf/ I put these flat in a couple of freezer bags raw...when I am ready to make up a meatloaf I will thaw it first then shape into a loaf put in a bread pan or muffin tins and bake. I am using a different amount of sauce and will mix the sauce in a bowl quickly to go on top when I am preparing to bake them which is 2/3 cup catsup 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1 1/2 teaspoons prepared mustard
Considering the amount of time I spend working I am very happy with what I have accomplished so far. Right now I am getting ready to bake and freeze Super Easy Ultimate Banana Easy Ultimate Banana Bread Recipehttp://www.food.com/recipe/super-easy-ultimate-banana-bread-291402?scaleto=2.0&mode=null&st=true I am also hoping to be able to do up some hamburger patties to freeze today I will type the recipe as it is not online but in "Once-A-Month Cooking" by Mimi Wilson and Mary Beth Lagerborg, a cookbook in which I picked up way back.
Playoff Burgers
2 pounds lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped,
1 tablespoon steak sauce
1 cup grated Monterey Jack cheese ( I am using mozzarella)
Salt and pepper to taste
6 whole wheat buns.
Salt and pepper ground beef to taste and mix with chopped onion and A-1 sauce. Make 12 thin patties. Sprinkle cheese over 6 of these, then top with remaining 6 patties and press edges together. Wrap each patty in waxed paper and seal them in a 1-gallon freezer bag. Label the bag and freeze. Freeze the package of whole wheat buns. To prepare for serving, thaw patties and place on the rack of a broiler pan. Broil 3 to 4 inches from the heat for a total of 12 to 14 minutes or until done, turning once. Serve on thawed whole wheat buns, split and toasted. these are also great on the grill or for camping trips Makes 6 servings.
Well I am off to make up the banana breads...Happy Wednesday To All

Preparing to live a Simple and Frugal Life.
Well I have had a lot of changes in my life over the past 3 years. I have been so busy with working 3 plus jobs that it seems that I have little or no time for much else. I found this http://zenhabits.net/simple-living-manifesto-72-ideas-to-simplify-your-life/ article the other day and I am going to sit down and do the first idea today which is "Make a list of your top 4-5 important things." I have been working towards funding my baby emergency fund and then pay off my visa although it seems like I have been hitting some "bumps"along the way. If I want to live a simple life I need to get those done A.S.A.P! This year is already 1/2 way over and it is all really a blurr.
When I finally have my baby emergency fund funded which now is $451/$1000 along with my Visa paid off in full which I owe $990/$1000, I should be able to scale down to having only 2 jobs. With the 2 jobs in which I will keep I can still tuck away money towards a fully funded emergency fund while starting my journey with living Simply and Frugally (although I am already pretty fugal). I am giving myself 6 to 8 weeks to reach those two goals and that is very doable .
